Research and Development
Bosch Mahle Turbo Systems is engaged in new systems solutions.
The trend toward downsizing in gasoline and diesel engines will continue. It will demand particular characteristics of the turbocharging system:
- spontaneous responsiveness
- wide operating maps and large ranges of control over a large mass flow range
- increased charge pressure ratios
- low thermal inertia, i.e., low heat loss from the exhaust gas flow
(catalytic converter light-off) - long service life, even under demanding operating conditions
- improved acoustic behavior
